Sustainable Future Funding

As per agreement with the Government of Sri Lanka, the initial two million dollar funding will be met with financial and human support from the Sri Lankan Government for the life of the Hospital. A refurbished and rebuilt MGH will be one of the premier urban, teaching pediatric units in Sri Lanka.

In addition, the team is currently assembling a consortium of American Pediatric Health Centers to lend their expertise, human resources, and significant financial backing to ensure long-term growth of MGH.

Finally, assuring long-term well-being for the hospital will require investment from local Sri Lankan businesses and philanthropists. Therefore, Project Peds is working to create a Matara General Hospital Foundation that will ensure financial prosperity for many generations of children to come.
